Camp Gilmont was founded in 1940 as a summer camp in Northeast Texas just outside of the town of Gilmer. We are located (map) on 400 acres of productive forest lands with ponds, hills and trails. Gilmont is a nonprofit organization with a variety of meeting facilities and comfortable accommodations for 180 guests.
With the capacity to offer educational experiences during weekdays, and the desire to offer field experiences on the property, the board of directors began to invest in scientific equipment and to connect qualified and engaging staff to offer educational and team building experiences to the community in 2003.
