The Gilmont Outdoor School Day Program

A Day Program at Gilmont is a one-day outdoor school experience.  (Grades K-8)

Depending on the grade level, a typical day's activities might include:
  • developing a field experience plan 
  • recording observations and measurements 
  • classifying living organisms and understanding their basic needs
  • estimating 
  • observing life cycles
  • taking a science vocabulary scavenger hunt
  • drawing conclusions  

Students come prepared for a day of active learning as Field Scientists.
Bring a sack lunch.  

A typical day is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
